Association football, commonly called just football or simply football, is an intercollegiate team sport usually played between two sides of eleven players. It is played around the globe by about 250 million players in more than 200 countries and allies, making it the most popular game in the world. The game has several divisions, which are based on countries, such as the English premiership league, the French Ligue de la Voiture (English Premier League) and the Italian league – the A Division. Football is also the most watched sport in the entire world. The popularity of the game can be attributed to the fact that there are several different types of footballs made and marketed by different manufacturers, each with its own unique design and characteristics.

The object of the game is for the players to kick the ball round an area of the field for their team to score. The game is generally played with three fields; the foul line, the centre circle and the half way line. Half-time is usually added to the game when a team needs to restock their football kits.

Football has evolved into a very popular sport throughout the years, and as a result, the game has developed many different rules that have been created to make the game more orderly, smooth and controlled, thus allowing the game to be played better and more competitively. In association football, each team may use only one football; the object of the game is for the team playing in the opposition end to score more points than the other team by using all their footballs. However, this game also allows three different types of footballs to be played.

The first football to be played seriously was the “football of the nineteen hundreds”. This football was a form of kicking a ball made out of wood with one end permanently attached to the pole and the other attached to a wooden post. This type of football was first played in England, Scotland and Wales. However, the use of wood from trees was prohibited in England and Wales because it endangered the forests. This type of football did not last long and was soon replaced by the “scotland game” which was a type of rugby played with a ball made from a wool fibre.

Later on, another type of football called the “game of soccer” was played in the England, Wales and Scotland by men called “pleaders”. The teams would wear clothing called “rugs”, which were made from linen, at the neck and were tied together by a kind of cord. This cord was called “rug” and the football was basically a round ball made out of polyethylene.

The English reformed league, or Association football, began in 18comings of the twentieth century. It was first organized by a group of English rugby players known as the Football Association. This association football later became the well-known soccer that we know and love today. Some say that the United States of America has actually invented the game that we call Association football.
